The major responsibility of the fundraising chair is to actively participate in creating the yearly PTA budget and facilitating fundraising events to raise the amount needed to meet the proposed budget. They are a vital component to the Fun Run in the fall and Bloomfest in the spring. The fundraising chair has also taken a large part in developing, planning and implementing the school wide Arts Matrix, along with the president and special area teachers/staff. Additional responsibilities may be requested throughout the year and participation in PTA events (fundraisers, after school festivals, PTA meetings, etc.) is expected, within reason. The main responsibility of the membership chair is to recruit and maintain membership through caregivers and staff. They are especially important at the beginning of the year in helping the President prepare for open house and various "new to Bloom" events before the school year begins. In addition, we ask that our Membership Chair head the Teacher Appreciation week committee, with additional support from the PTA board, admin and Bloom families. The PTA President is a required role to keep Bloom's PTA in compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include: delegating and/or coordinating the work of various committees and volunteers for large and small events, leading PTA board and member meetings, representing local PTA as a JCPS delegate, liaison with the principal and admin.
